Adobo (ä-dō'bō) def: "A Latino spice mixture used in various countries..." (link: GourmetSleuth) Over many years of backyard cooking and catering, we have used a generic dry spices mix that was basically the Latin-American spice mix Adobo Seasoning. We started making our own recipe and when we got our hands on some of the World's Hottest Pepper, the Bhut Jolokia Ghost Pepper, we started adding it into our recipe. We use this fiery hot spice mix to season chicken, turkey, even duck before grilling or slow cooking. The spice mix can be sprinkled on hot french fries, popcorn, even into an omelette. |
